Nora offers therapy to anyone seeking support or change.
Children: She has experience working with children 5 and up who are navigating anxiety, emotional regulation, and confidence. For youth ages 5-12ish parents are present for part or most of session. This allows everyone to get support and tools to manage all as a team.
Teens: Nora works with teens who are navigating anxiety, depression, self harm, ADHD, avoidance school issues, and beyond. Teen sessions often are focused on the youth alone with a 5-10 minute check in time with parents.
Adults - Nora has experience working with adults but has specialized in supporting those are navigating life with different experiences such as neurodivergence or disabilities.
Parents: Nora is experienced working with youth and their needs but there is also a clear difference in stress as a parent. If your child gets therapy at Creative Blooms, then you can be looped into care in an appropriate manner. If your child receives care elsewhere and you are seeking support related to parenthood you can see Nora for individual therapy.
Health Care Professionals: Nora has spent her career working for larger health care systems and is acutely aware of the stress caused by this type of work. Nora offers burnout recovery and prevention for those experiencing stress related to working in the healthcare field.
A variety of therapy services are available at Creative Blooms

One on one hour sessions allow a person to process and learn about themselves.
These often include taking, doing some reflections, and trying or learning new things. Artwork, movement, sensory items, and humor are all possible in Creative Blooms Therapy session.

Caregiving is hard.
Parent Sessions - when a child is in therapy parents need the tools and support as well. Parents are often included in sessions or separate 1:1 sessions can be held to provide support.
Family or Group Sessions - this is format where several family members (parents/ siblings) and/or caregivers meet with the therapist to navigate challenges related to dynamics.

Learning and hearing from others can be the most powerful guidance we receive. There are two groups that are a work in progress.
Parent Group - this is a virtual meeting for parents of children with chronic illness who are balancing care, parenting, and far too much.
Living with Chronic Illness Adult Group- this is a virtual group of peers for adults who are living with the challenges of surviving and trying to thrive.
Collaborative and learning services are available to those in the Behavioral Health Field

We offer peer to peer support to other clinicians (therapists and doctors alike). With a wide variety of experience in the field as well as with collaborative learning Nora is able to offer guidance, support, and insight for those working in the field.

The early years of therapy practice are a hearty learning experience that requires additional support and guidance! It is legally required in Michigan to have 4 hours monthly of supervision from an LMSW in order to obtain licensure. Newer clinicians can also benefit from briefer consultation on a specific learning goals. Nora is able to offer both (on a sliding scale based on learners needs).

Nora has a significant background in clinical work and engaging others in learning. There are various topics that Nora can present on that promote professional growth.
